Season 14 of the Emmy-winning The Amazing Race is set to premiere on CBS on Sunday, February 15, 2009. TAR 14 will occupy its familiar Sunday 8:00pm Eastern/7:00pm Central time slot.
This marks the first time that two editions of The Amazing Race have aired in the same television season since the 2006-2007 season. The airing of The Amazing Race 14 was announced as part of CBS’s mid-season schedule. Two editions weren’t available to air during the 2007-2008 season.
The Amazing Race 12 was originally scheduled to air in February of 2008 was moved up to November of 2007 to replace the drama Viva Laughlin, which was cancelled after one episode. Since TAR 12 aired earlier than scheduled, there was not enough time to cast and shoot TAR 13 for a Spring 2008 airing, resulting in the long lapse between TAR 12 & TAR 13.

Have you heard anything about other seasons of amazing race being put out on dvd? I know about seasons 1 and 7 but would like to see the others.

David, currently only Seasons 1 and 7 are available on DVD. I’m checking to see when the other seasons might be available. If I find out anything I will post it here!
